The departure took place from two locations this year.  As usual, a crew from Davidsonville headed out into a brilliant sunrise at about 6:30am Sunday Morning. This time, another work crew, headed by Erik Andrews set out from Oberlin Ohio - also destined for Dickenson County, VA. Both groups arrived without incident, although the windy roads entering the final stage of the trip caused a few queasy stomachs!

The Clinchco Elementary/Middle School is a fine place for the ASP teams to reside for a week while in service here. The school is air conditioned (except for the gym). Unfortunately, it looks like a couple warm nights await us this week - hopefully the building cooling systems will adequately cool the gym too! Cell phones are not working very well at all here, so it is best call the center number if an emergency occurs.  For information on some of the activities and work crew tasks, check the web page which we anticipate updating each day!
