rev. Wendy van vliet
Rev. Wendy van Vliet is passionate about helping others experience the love of Jesus through congregational life, especially through those relationships and ministries. Wendy moved to Davidsonville and became the pastor of DUMC in July of 2016. Since then, she has been inspiring our congregation and community with her quirky sense of humor and love of Jesus!
Wendy and her husband Frank, are originally from Ontario, Canada. Having lived in both countries and several different locations, helps them to be open to the variety of people and situations that different cultures may bring. Wendy has been married to Frank for 38 years. They have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren, as well as their canine companion, Daisy. When not at work, you can find Wendy in her garden, kayaking or adventuring with her grandchildren.
Director of Youth Ministries
Jackie, originally from New England, spent most of her childhood growing up in Waldorf, Maryland. She was actively involved in her church growing up and received a call into ministry while serving on a high school mission trip. Jackie is a graduate from Kingswood University in Sussex, NB Canada where she received a BA in Ministry. Jackie served on the mission field in Malawi, Africa with Circle of Hope International while in school and after graduating. Jackie is passionate about student ministries, missions and discipleship within the local church.
Outside of church, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and trying out new restaurants around Annapolis! She is a lover of coffee and is always up for a great conversation over a Hazelnut Latte.
Director of Music
Bob received a Bachelor of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music and has been active in church music for a number of years. He has worked for a Pulitzer prize-winning composer as well as leading publishing companies. A composer, conductor, teacher and performer, Bob is comfortable in all musical styles from classical to contemporary Christian, from traditional hymns to Gospel, from country and folk to rock. He believes in that old Duke Ellington axiom "If it sounds good - it is good!
Kristy Moseley has been with DUMC since 2011. She works remotely as the bookkeeper from Memphis, Tennessee. She is married to JP with two children, Kennady and Mason . She also has a fur baby named Scout.
Janmarie and her husband Benjamin live near West River Center, where they met many years ago. Janmarie has previously worked in the public school system, as a cook at West River, and in customer service in various places. Janmarie has been a life-long United Methodist and looks forward to her work at Davidsonville UMC and to being in ministry with you!
Director of CrossRoads
Marilyn holds her Bachelors Degree, which she earned in the Philippines! Marilyn has been teaching our Pre Kindergarten Class for more than 6 years before she became the new director of CrossRoads. She also holds both her 90 hour Early Childhood Education Certificate and her 45 hour School Age Certificate! She loves working with children of all ages and prior to working at CrossRoads, she was both an Assistant Director and Director for another center! Marilyn has two children of her own and both are CrossRoads graduate! Marilyn loves to play the guitar with her daughter who plays violin. She also enjoys photography, crafts related to nautical theme and art.

Ms. Patricia has been married for 20 years and has 2 children and 2 granddaughters. She is a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and has been a member for over 30 years. She enjoys singing with the church choir and working with the youth. Ms. Patricia’s hobbies include: reading, serving in the community and most importantly, spending time with her family!
