Tim Hopkins, our own area historian, will talk about the history of our church! This is the second lecture in the UMW's Discovering Our World Series and also the kickoff of our 175th anniversary celebration. Tim and his committee have discovered something entirely unknown up to now that he will tell you about.  He has new and revised materials including an 1820 area map - things which he has found using new technology, archives, and primary sources such as old church deeds and journals.  You will enjoy many pictures and slides as well.  

Tim and his committee are publishing a book on the history of DUMC for purchase and they will be taking pre-orders.  There will be delicious finger foods provided by the United Methodist Women.
