This week, we are beginning our BRAND NEW approach to our Advent Bible Study, with a different theme each week as we dive into the book, "Heaven and Earth: Advent and the Incarnation," by United Methodist Bishop and world-renowned scholar and theologian, Will Willimon. The books are available to purchase from the office for $10, and each lesson includes a video supplement so ALL ARE WELCOME and able to join in the conversation, even if you aren't reading the book (we get it - December can be busy!)

Each week, we're offering something a little different to encourage fellowship and a new way of doing Bible Study at Davidsonville UMC. This week, that means we'll be starting our evening with a Family Potluck Dinner at 6:00 PM (NOTE: This is a change from 6:30 PM!) Dinner will go until about 6:45 PM, when we'll then break out, and our children will be led by our Coordinator of Children & Youth Ministries, Mrs. Tiffany, while parents and adults remain with Pastor Kyle for the Bible Study. The plan is for everything to wrap-up by 7:30 PM in consideration of our families.

That leads us to the BIG ASK for the evening. We are looking for 3-4 Entrees, 3-4 Sides, and 2-3 Desserts to help out with our potluck. Please choose an option below if you are able and willing to help out in this capacity, or simply email or call our Office Administrator, Casey, so we can be sure we have enough food for everyone!

Again, this is a NEW way to do our Advent Bible Study, just like God was doing a NEW thing with the birth of Jesus Christ in a manger in the original Nativity Story. We're looking forward to a great opportunity in the midst of the hustle and bustle of this Advent season, to get to know one another a little better, spend time with family and friends, enjoy some festive feasting, and grow in our faith together.
